Living Free Psychotherapy Center is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor who will primarily work in a telehealth setting. In this role, you will engage with clients to assess their mental health needs and design personalized therapeutic interventions to facilitate their mental wellness. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing a variety of mental health conditions, including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients during initial sessions to establish their mental health status and identify appropriate treatment goals.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, while ensuring sensitivity to cultural and individual client needs.

• Facilitate regular one-on-one and group therapy sessions, providing clients with coping mechanisms and tools to navigate their mental health challenges effectively.

• Monitor client progress frequently and adjust treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients including adolescents, adults, and families, each presenting unique challenges stemming from various socio-economic backgrounds. Your ability to apply culturally competent therapeutic practices will be essential in fostering meaningful connections and delivering effective treatment.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of direct experience in mental health counseling or related fields.
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based methodologies, and culturally informed therapeutic techniques.

• Experience providing both individual and group counseling tailored to diverse and multifaceted client needs.

Compensation and Benefits\n
