Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools to inform client care.

• Document client cases meticulously from the first point of contact through the entire therapeutic journey to ensure continuity and clarity in treatment.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each client—including individuals, couples, families, and groups—incorporating therapeutic modalities tailored to enhance recovery.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions focusing on goal-setting, coping strategies, and emotional regulation.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress and outcomes throughout their treatment plans, adjusting interventions as necessary to maximize effectiveness.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including psychiatrists, medical professionals, and social workers, to provide holistic care and coordinate interventions.

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and their support networks, assisting family members in understanding and managing mental health challenges.

• Identify at-risk behaviors and implement preventative strategies to promote recovery and resilience among clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges—such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your expertise will be pivotal in fostering a safe environment where clients feel understood and supported, enabling them to make meaningful progress in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in Florida.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a commitment to patient care and therapeutic growth.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and information sharing.

• A thorough understanding of prevalent physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders, to effectively address diverse client needs.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate treatment plans and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, providing comprehensive care for both mental health and addiction issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
