Key Responsibilities\n

• Psychosocial Assessment: Conduct thorough and timely assessments using your expertise in human behavior, psychosocial factors, and considerations of ethical issues that impact treatment outcomes.

• Clinical Intervention: Provide supportive counseling to patients and their families, facilitate family conferences, assist families in navigating difficult decisions, and enhance communication between families and healthcare providers.

• Case Management: Effectively manage a caseload that includes identifying high-risk situations, balancing referrals, and providing ongoing patient care. Collaborate with case managers to optimize discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions for patients.

• Legal and Ethical Standards: Strictly adhere to all relevant ethical standards and communicate any suspected cases of abuse or neglect, ensuring patient rights are respected and upheld during all interactions.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies, including progress notes, interdisciplinary plans, and patient care directives.

• In-Service Training: Educate fellow hospital staff on relevant psychosocial issues through presentations and participation in 'Lunch and Learns' to enhance the understanding of holistic patient care.

• Quality Improvement: Actively participate in the monitoring and analysis of process and outcome indicators aimed at improving patient care standards.

• Additional Duties: Engage in special projects, including social work recognition events, cancer support groups, and educational outreach for patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school.

• Minimum of two years of experience working in a medical setting, with at least one year of direct experience in a cancer care environment preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency in English, both verbal and written, with an outstanding ability to communicate effectively and maintain excellent customer service standards.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and evaluation skills.
\n
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

• Commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual base salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to USD 130,000 , dependent on experience and qualifications.
