Key Responsibilities\n \n Establish positive and trusting relationships with clients, ensuring a safe space for open communication and effective therapy. \n Diagnose and treat various mental health disorders, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices to meet individualized patient needs. \n Create and implement personalized treatment plans for clients based on comprehensive assessments, which include their mental health history and current challenges. \n Conduct regular counseling sessions, whether individually or within couples and family dynamics, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary based on client progress. \n Monitor and evaluate client progress through ongoing assessments, ensuring that goals are being met and making modifications to strategies as required. \n Utilize appropriate documentation practices by completing timely assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes while using electronic health record systems. \n Collaborate with other healthcare providers as necessary to coordinate care, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support across various services. \n Empower clients to adopt healthier lifestyles through guidance in coping strategies for mental health disorders. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n As a Marriage and Family Therapist at Water Edge Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse clientele that includes adolescents, adults, and couples facing a range of mental health issues. You will utilize your skills to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and family disruptions, promoting healing and growth in a compassionate, client-centered manner. Qualifications\n \n A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is required. \n Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) through the State Board is essential. \n Proven experience in delivering both individual and couples therapy. \n Experience working effectively with both children and adults in therapeutic settings. \n Demonstrated ability to complete client assessments and treatment plans accurately and efficiently. \n Strong writing and communication skills, combined with the ability to learn and navigate electronic health record systems promptly. \n Preferred Experience\n \n A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience as a licensed therapist. \n Expertise in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, etc.) is highly desirable. \n Experience conducting group therapy sessions. \n Compensation and Benefits\n This position offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
