Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
\n
• Perform comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to guide treatment planning.
\n
• Facilitate skill-building sessions focused on coping strategies, anger management, and risk reduction for behaviors such as self-injury and aggression.
\n
• Assist clients and caregivers in improving decision-making and problem-solving skills to enhance home dynamics.
\n
• Engage in collaborative care with interdisciplinary teams, sharing insights and strategies to support comprehensive client care.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including intake forms, treatment plans, and DAP notes.
\n
• Attend mandatory monthly meetings and submit weekly reports to track progress and ensure accountability.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist with Compassionate Counseling, you will primarily work with a diverse adult population, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. Clients may present with conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related challenges, and other emotional or psychological issues. We focus on providing culturally competent care that respects each individual’s unique background and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or a related field (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT).

• Active licensure in the state of New York, including any relevant certifications.
\n
• Clinical mental health training with practical experience in therapeutic settings.
\n
• Solid understanding of the DSM-V for assessments and diagnoses.
\n
• Excellent documentation skills to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Post-internship field experience working within mental health environments.
\n
• Familiarity with various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.

• Experience with crisis intervention methods and behavioral support processes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
