Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic contract role supporting K-8 students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. In this rewarding position, you'll play a key part in facilitating academic, social, and emotional growth for learners who benefit from additional supports. Working closely with a collaborative school team, you'll focus on implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring each student achieves meaningful progress across reading, foundational math, and behavioral goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide push-in and pull-out special education supports to students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Developmental Disabilities (DD), with a caseload averaging 20 students.
• Design and deliver differentiated instruction primarily in literacy and foundational math concepts.
• Apply behavioral and academic interventions that foster socially appropriate behaviors and student independence.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to address each student’s unique needs.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication describing progress, challenges, and achievement toward IEP objectives.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, seeking continuous improvement and sharing knowledge with your team.

Qualifications:

• Valid LBS1 Teacher Certification.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 1-5 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Passion for supporting low-income, minority students in achieving college and career readiness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High expectations for student and team performance, with flexibility and initiative.
• Strong knowledge of academic content and behavioral interventions.
