Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setting, enabling counselors to provide care to clients from the comfort of their own homes. Working via telehealth, you will be supported by a collaborative team committed to ongoing professional development and a client-centered approach. Our operational hours extend from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, allowing for adaptable scheduling that caters to both clinician and patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your essential duties will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and assess their specific needs.
\n
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience building.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that help clients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate assistance.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources available for additional support.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participating in case consultations, professional development activities, and team meetings focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Keeping abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with individuals affected by trauma, which may include various populations such as veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and those experiencing grief or loss. As an LPC, your expertise will enable you to help clients process their experiences, cultivate resilience, and foster positive change in their lives. You will also have the opportunity to work with couples, with training provided to enhance your skill set in this area.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess current and valid licensure as an LPC in the state of Texas.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is required to manage client records efficiently.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Prior experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable.

• Self-determined to complete client documentation and notes within a 24-hour timeframe.

Compensation and Benefits\n
