Travel ICU RN

Overview Travel ICU RN – 13-week assignment in Shreveport, Louisiana. Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an ICU RN to provide comprehensive critical care in the ICU setting, with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a clinical team. Responsibilities Assess and monitor critically ill patients and respond to changes in condition Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care nursing techniques Operate and manage advanced life support equipment Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments Record conditions, reactions, and interventions; notify providers of changes Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, CVP, PA catheterization) Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses timely to ensure continuity of care Educate patients and families about ICU treatments and recovery expectations Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures through ongoing education Adhere to infection control protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives Perform other duties within scope as assigned Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as an ICU RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications Preferred Qualifications Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification TNCC, NIHSS certification Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Skills & Abilities Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills Physical and Sensory Requirements Remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend Visual acuity and effective communication abilities Benefits Competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first-day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and short-term disability insurance 401(k) matching Refer-a-friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Details This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
