Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders, evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Continuously monitor client progress by tracking symptoms and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for our clients.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
• Advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization within the community, promoting understanding and support for individuals struggling with mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals coping with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your expertise will help clients navigate their experiences and develop skills for managing their conditions effectively. Additionally, you may provide support to vulnerable groups including those facing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, making a profound impact on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Proven ability to establish trusting therapeutic relationships with clients through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine commitment to empathy and an unbiased approach when interacting with individuals facing mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with using telehealth platforms for conducting sessions is a plus, as is experience in collaborative care settings.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
