Key Responsibilities\n

• Ensure that all patient discharge appointments are confirmed with students and their families ahead of discharge to facilitate a smooth transition.

• Communicate promptly with referral sources and outpatient providers at all phases—admission, midpoint assessments, and discharge—to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Facilitate necessary patient transfers to higher levels of care, addressing any urgent mental health needs effectively.
\n
• Engage in clinical outreach activities and provide program tours as needed to support awareness of mental health services.
\n
• Manage crises during therapy and within the milieu effectively, applying intervention techniques to ensure student safety and well-being.
\n
• Support milieu staff in their interactions with students and families, fostering an environment of collaboration and understanding.
\n
• Collaborate continuously with the treatment team and milieu staff to uphold the highest standards of clinical quality and care.
\n
• Assess students for suicidality and potential harm to self or others, implementing individualized safety plans as necessary.
\n
• Complete and submit all documentation of services promptly, adhering to timely record-keeping standards.
\n
• Participate in discharge planning immediately upon a student’s admission, ensuring comprehensive understanding of coping strategies and available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily focus on working with students from diverse backgrounds, addressing a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related concerns. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Support Wellness Healthcare Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 for this full-time position.
