Position Overview

West Valley Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Licensed Physical Therapist. This position is ideal for a compassionate professional eager to help patients in the Morristown, New Jersey area regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life. You will play an essential role in our orthopedic outpatient practice, working closely with patients to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on their individual health objectives.

About the Organization

Located in the heart of Morristown, West Valley Physical Therapy Services is a state-of-the-art 5,000-square-foot facility dedicated to sports medicine and orthopedic therapy. Our team consists of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant who work collaboratively to provide top-tier care for our patients. Our practice primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, allowing us to focus on personalized treatment without the constraints often associated with larger healthcare systems.

Work Environment

As a vital member of our onsite outpatient office, you will benefit from a supportive and collaborative work environment. Working Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will engage directly with patients in a modern clinic equipped with advanced physiotherapy tools and techniques. Your work will focus primarily on one-on-one patient interactions, allowing you to make meaningful impacts in their recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to identify their physical health objectives and customize treatment plans accordingly.
• Efficiently manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring you deliver personalized care without compromising quality.
• Utilize a diverse range of treatment techniques—including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities—to enhance clients' movement and overall health.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that integrate evidence-based practices and promote recovery, functional abilities, and quality of life.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of treatments to make necessary adjustments in therapy strategies based on patient progress.
• Document each session meticulously, maintaining accurate medical records and treatment notes within our EMR system, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to devise an integrated approach for optimal patient care.
• Promote lifestyle changes by encouraging the improvement of strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination among clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients, many of whom seek rehabilitation following surgery, injury, or chronic pain. Our clientele often includes active individuals looking to return to sports or daily activities as efficiently and safely as possible. Additionally, your expertise in promoting preventive care will help educate patients on maintaining their health and preventing further injuries.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) qualification.
• Possess current certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Maintain a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrate a solid foundation in manual therapy techniques essential for orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exhibit proficiency in developing tailored exercise regimens suitable for diverse patient needs.
• Have experience navigating and utilizing EMR software platforms like WebPT for patient documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• A track record in developing patient-focused fitness and wellness programs will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We understand the importance of a rewarding compensation package. The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
