Job Description General Accounting & Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Huntington Beach, CA Pay: $27.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Employment Type: Full-Time | Evaluation Hire Join Our Team! Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a General Accounting & Accounts Payable Specialist for one of our valued Orange County clients. What You’ll Be Doing Maintain financial records and assist with balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and other financial reporting. Review and match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents. Enter invoices, code expenses to the appropriate accounts and cost centers, and process payments by check, ACH, or wire transfer. Reconcile vendor statements, accounts payable records, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions. Investigate invoice discrepancies, duplicate payments, missing invoices, discounts, and payment terms. Maintain accurate vendor files and communicate with suppliers to resolve questions or discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing, accruals, audits, and management reporting. Follow company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy. What We’re Looking For Two to three years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a similar role. Working knowledge of general accounting principles and GAAP. Experience with invoice processing, account reconciliations, expense coding, and vendor management. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. SAP experience is beneficial but not required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and communication skills.
