Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' goals, physical limitations, and rehabilitation needs, ensuring a customized approach to treatment.
• Manage a patient caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, allowing you to dedicate time and attention to each individual's care.
• Develop and implement evidence-based care plans that incorporate a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises tailored to the orthopedic patient population.
• Aim to improve patient outcomes by focusing on alternatives to surgical procedures and reducing reliance on pain medications through effective rehabilitative techniques.
• Design and promote specific fitness and wellness programs that not only meet rehabilitation goals but also encourage long-term lifestyle changes.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their treatment process to optimize recovery and enhance their overall functioning.
• Collaborate regularly with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and case managers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and maintain clear and thorough documentation of patient progress using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions that affect mobility. This includes post-operative rehabilitation for joint replacements and sports-related injuries. As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients, each with unique challenges and rehabilitation goals. Your expertise will help them achieve maximum physical recovery and return to an active lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a master's or doctorate degree (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A clean professional record with no board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to develop effective exercise protocols tailored to diverse patient needs.
• Experience in utilizing EMR software systems, with a preference for familiarity with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Experience in engaging patients in their rehabilitation programs and promoting adherence to treatment plans.
• Strong communication skills, with a focus on educating patients and their families about recovery processes and health maintenance.

Compensation and Benefits

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist role offers a competitive salary range between $100,000 and $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
