Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, focusing on the severity and impact of symptoms.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment pathways.

• Engage clients and their families in education about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on feedback and evolving clinical needs.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, other therapists, and healthcare providers to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for clients.

• Participate in case consultations, engage in peer reviews, and attend team meetings to share insights and strategies for improved client outcomes.

• Advocate for clients, addressing barriers to accessing mental health services and promoting awareness to reduce mental health stigma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders. This includes individuals from various backgrounds, such as recent immigrants, survivors of domestic abuse, and those experiencing homelessness. Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
