The South Coast Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time opportunity. This remote position allows you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families facing challenges related to neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and substance abuse. As an LCSW, you will perform client assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention, all while delivering support either through phone consultations or face-to-face interactions.

Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, enabling you to work from home while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals. The flexible scheduling allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance, making it easier to meet client needs during conventional hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The community health clinic setting means you'll often collaborate with healthcare providers and social service agencies to ensure comprehensive support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to gather relevant information about clients’ situations, identifying specific needs and challenges.

• Assist clients in navigating service offerings, supporting them both via telephone and in-person consultations.

• Engage clients in constructive activities to promote their well-being and recovery.
\n
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, preparing reports that contribute to effective treatment planning.

• Provide crisis intervention services to clients in distress, ensuring their safety and connecting them with necessary resources.

• Facilitate referrals to external agencies for additional support, fostering collaborative networks within the community.

• Maintain active participation in team meetings, supervision, and training sessions to stay current with best practices in social work.

• Monitor and document any signs of child abuse or other serious concerns to ensure proper interventions are initiated.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve clients who are navigating crises related to mental health, substance abuse, and family issues. Many clients may come from diverse backgrounds and require tailored approaches to their treatment. You will play a crucial role in building rapport, displaying empathy, and understanding their unique circumstances and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required.

• A current license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Kansas.

• Proven experience in providing services to clients affected by issues such as domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental illness.

• Strong active listening skills and the ability to understand and empathize with client narratives.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and interaction with clients and referral agencies.

• Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• A valid driver’s license, as you may need to attend training sessions or community outreach events occasionally.

Compensation and Benefits\n
