Founding GTM Engineer

Compensation: $90,000–$160,000 + equity (0%–1%)
An early-stage (seed) startup building the simulation, evaluation, and observability layer for voice and text AI agents, helping companies ensure their agents perform as intended in production. Backed by leading investors, with enterprise customers across multiple continents sending millions of agent calls monthly.

We're hiring our first Founding GTM Engineer to build the automated systems behind the company's revenue motion from scratch. This is a base-only, no-quota role at the intersection of engineering and go-to-market, treating pipeline and outbound as engineering problems to be instrumented, iterated, and scaled.
What you'll be doing
- Design and build scalable lead-gen and enrichment systems using AI-native workflows, APIs, and automation tools, targeting AI engineers and founders deploying conversational agents
- Build and own the GTM data layer: clean enriched lead lists, account scoring, CRM architecture, and reporting dashboards
- Develop and optimize SEO and GEO strategies, owning discoverability as a core channel for pipeline generation
- Wire the GTM stack into automated systems that increase outbound velocity and reduce manual work across the team
- Treat go-to-market like a product: instrument it, measure it, iterate rapidly on what drives qualified pipeline
- Work in the trenches with the founders and GTM team to spot funnel bottlenecks and engineer them away
Tech stack: APIs, automation and LLM-powered tooling, CRM architecture, and custom-built systems (beyond off-the-shelf tools like Clay).
Requirements- 2+ years GTM engineering, RevOps, or growth engineering experience
- SEO and GEO proficiency required (near deal-breaker if absent)
- Builds with code and APIs, not just configures tools
- AI-native workflows required
- SF in-person, 5 days per week, 9am to 7pm
- AEO or GEO company background a strong plus (e.g., Profound)
- AI-native in daily workflows
- Engineering background or proven system-building ability
- Background at an AEO or GEO company
- Scrappy, early-stage startup experience
- Not AI-native in workflows
- No SEO or GEO experience
- Tool configurator, not a system builder
- First GTM hire with full ownership of the revenue systems layer, built from scratch
- Strong backing and early traction: seed-funded, enterprise customers, rapid early ARR growth
- Engineering-flavored GTM: base-only, no quota — measured by pipeline created and rep efficiency gained, not dashboards built
- Location: San Francisco, CA
- Work policy: In-person, 5 days/week, 9am–7pm
