Key Responsibilities\n

As a licensed mental health therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, identifying their specific mental health needs.

• Developing customized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that are tailored to their unique backgrounds, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilizing established evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective client outcomes.

• Providing education and informative support to clients and their families about treatment processes, coping mechanisms, and self-care strategies relevant to managing mood disorders.

• Monitoring client progress throughout the therapeutic journey, making data-informed adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure the highest level of care.

• Engaging in regular consultations with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to deliver integrated and coordinated care for clients.

• Maintaining precise and confidential records of client sessions, assessments, and treatment activities, adhering to legal and ethical documentation standards.

• Participating in case consultations and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills, staying informed of the latest advancements in mental health therapy related to mood disorders.

• Advocating for clients, working to de-stigmatize mood disorders and promote mental health in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will serve a diverse clientele, focusing on individuals dealing with mood disorders. This includes clients from various backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, often facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A valid licensure as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the State of California.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Strong foundational knowledge of California Law and Professional Ethics as they apply to mental health practice.

• Successful completion of a current background check through the FBI and DOJ.
\n
• A current Tuberculosis (TB) test conducted within the last six months.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who bring at least three years of experience in providing mental health counseling, particularly with mood disorders, as well as a background working effectively with clients facing behavioral issues, learning disabilities, or social/emotional challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Heartlight Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually.
