Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to identify the mental health needs of students, followed by the development of individualized treatment plans.

• Utilizing various therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address a spectrum of emotional and behavioral issues.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.

• Collaborating with school staff, including teachers and administrators, to create a supportive and understanding environment for students.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies that enhance the overall quality of care.

• Providing educational resources and support to families about mental health concerns and available community services.

• Staying current with the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment, integrating new knowledge into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health services to children and adolescents within the school environment, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and family dynamics. You will work with a diverse population, which will enhance your skills and perspectives as a mental health professional.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia.
\n
• At least three years of direct experience providing psychotherapy, preferably in a school or outpatient setting.

• Familiarity with solution-focused therapeutic interventions and a strong commitment to evidence-based practices.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to connect with children, families, and colleagues effectively.
