TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, California. In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted partner to patients, guiding them on their journey to regain mobility and enhance their everyday functionality. Your efforts will focus on improving their quality of life through prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation strategies tailored to each individual's needs.

Our practice is owned and operated by licensed physical therapists who prioritize patient-centered care and are committed to empowering each individual through comprehensive rehabilitation programs. We primarily serve patients covered by private medical insurance, allowing us to maintain a focus on delivering exceptional care.

Work Environment

Working onsite in our advanced rehabilitation facility, you will collaborate closely with a small team of dedicated professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). The work setting is one that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and continual learning, allowing for a supportive and enriching atmosphere as we share clinical insights to better serve our patients. Our typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a consistent and balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their individual goals and specific therapy needs.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, treating one patient per hour to ensure the highest quality of personalized care.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate various evidence-based techniques and interventions.
• Implement cost-effective treatment strategies aimed at improving patients' mobility, range of motion, and overall functionality.
• Incorporate alternative therapies to minimize reliance on medications and reduce the necessity for surgical interventions.
• Design and lead tailored fitness and wellness programs to fit the distinct needs and aspirations of each patient.
• Provide encouragement and motivation to patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
• Work alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver a holistic approach to patient care, coordinating for optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress, assess treatment effectiveness, and maintain detailed documentation of all care services provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes a diverse range of individuals seeking rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain conditions. We focus on providing high-quality, individualized therapy that aligns with the unique goals of each patient. Your role will be essential in not only facilitating their physical recovery but also instilling confidence and promoting their active involvement in the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A valid California license as a Physical Therapist, along with an unblemished professional record and no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and a strong capability in developing and implementing therapeutic exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, especially WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and records management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, with a proven track record of reducing patient reliance on medications and surgeries.
• A strong background in evidence-based practice, with a focus on using innovative and proven rehabilitation techniques.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate patients.

Compensation and Benefits
