Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite at our outpatient office, where collaboration and communication among team members are paramount. You'll be working within a supportive environment alongside two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). The clinic is equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and equipment, fostering a space that inspires both patients and practitioners alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments to identify and address individualized goals and needs.
• Manage a reasonable caseload of one patient per hour to ensure focused and quality care.
• Utilize orthopedic outpatient experience to implement effective rehabilitation strategies and interventions.
• Design and deliver cost-effective therapy treatments aimed at improving patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Advocate for treatment alternatives that reduce reliance on medications or surgical options.
• Formulate comprehensive care plans that utilize diverse methods to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Develop personalized fitness and wellness programs tailored to meet the specific needs of diverse patients.
• Maintain clear communication with patients to motivate them throughout their treatment journey.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Assess patient progress, document treatment outcomes, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Ensure meticulous record-keeping of patient interactions and treatment services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At TheraSense, our patient base predominantly consists of individuals seeking rehabilitation following orthopedic injuries or surgeries. You'll work with a diverse population aged from young athletes to older adults, each with varying levels of physical capability. The focus is on fostering recovery, restoring functionality, and empowering patients to return to their daily activities or sports with confidence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California and a clean professional record, with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong background in orthopedic physical therapy practices and patient management.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to implement effective exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Proven history of developing and executing successful rehabilitation programs.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy, encourage patient engagement, and foster positive relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
