Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and ongoing assessments to document client progress from the initial consultation to discharge.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to develop tailored treatment and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, applying a variety of therapeutic techniques to support client engagement and growth.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment plan, adjusting interventions as needed to enhance recovery outcomes.
\n
• Engage in interprofessional collaboration, working closely with other mental health specialists, doctors, and nurses to create an integrated care approach for clients.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement prevention strategies to support client success.
\n
• Provide education and support to family members and primary caregivers on managing mental and behavioral challenges effectively.

• Stay updated on the latest developments in psychotherapy and counseling practices to apply evidence-based techniques within sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Union Family Counseling Center, you will serve a diverse client population, including individuals dealing with a variety of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Many clients come from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and the ability to approach each case with sensitivity and adaptability is crucial for effective support and care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, providing direct care to a variety of client populations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document client interactions and manage treatment plans effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• A background in treating clients with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, including addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Comprehensive understanding of psychotropic medications and their potential effects on treatment and therapy.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to facilitate clear interactions with clients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
