Work Environment\n

This remote position allows for flexibility while working closely with the school community. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with educators, psychologists, and other mental health professionals all committed to fostering an environment of well-being for students. Your typical work hours will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as required by the operational needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations with students, considering their personal histories, present challenges, and risk factors to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Create and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each student’s needs, leveraging evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting emotional regulation and resilience among students, while fostering a supportive peer community.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for students experiencing acute mental health distress, ensuring safety and well-being in high-pressure situations.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic support for each student, including maintaining communication with parents and guardians as necessary to align on care goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students from diverse backgrounds, varying in age, socio-economic status, and presenting mental health conditions. Many of these students may be dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your role will be pivotal in identifying these needs, offering support, and helping students integrate successfully into the school environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in mental health or educational settings.

• Strong expertise in mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and knowledge of trauma-informed care practices.

• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans corresponding to students' needs.
