Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients by gathering detailed medical histories and performing specialized assessments to devise effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Implement treatment protocols based on clinical findings, adjusting techniques and strategies as necessary to respond effectively to patient progress and changes in health status.
• Maintain thorough documentation throughout the patient journey, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, daily encounter notes, and discharge summaries to comply with regulatory requirements and facilitate continuity of care.
• Engage in proactive communication with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure integrated patient care; this involves discussing patient progress and making necessary referrals to other medical professionals.
• Participate in regular facility meetings to contribute insights and collaborate with your peers on best practices and patient care improvements.
• Monitor patient outcomes through ongoing assessments, identifying the effectiveness of treatment interventions and making timely adjustments to care strategies as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients ranging from post-operative recovery to chronic pain management. Your expertise will help guide a diverse population, including athletes, elderly individuals, and those recovering from various surgeries or injuries. Building strong, respectful relationships with patients and their families will be essential in fostering an environment that promotes healing and encourages active participation in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a solid foundation in advanced therapeutic techniques.
• Active licensure in the State of Florida, as mandated by law.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly within an orthopedic outpatient setting, is highly desirable to ensure proficiency and confidence in patient care.
• Experience with evidence-based practice methodologies and familiarity with the latest rehabilitation technologies will be advantageous.
