Work Environment\n

Our center embraces a remote work setting while maintaining a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication. You will be equipped with the necessary technological tools and resources to connect with clients effectively. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours required on a rotational basis to accommodate clients’ needs. This flexibility allows you to balance your professional responsibilities with your personal life while delivering crucial mental health support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments for clients, evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on their unique needs, preferences, and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored for individuals with mood disorders.

• Educate and support clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster understanding and recovery.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment, making necessary adjustments to the treatment plans based on individual responses and developments.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide a cohesive and comprehensive approach to mental health care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatment to enhance intervention strategies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment processes in alignment with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to refine clinical skills and enhance service delivery.

• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders, aiming to de-stigmatize mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with primarily include individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. This population includes a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, highlighting the necessity for culturally competent care tailored to meet varying emotional and psychological needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.

• Strong foundational understanding of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with prescribing psychiatrists.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred, we value diverse experiences that demonstrate your readiness to contribute effectively. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities—especially CBT and DBT—will be advantageous, as will a proactive approach to professional development and client advocacy.
