Serenity Motion Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our Pembroke Pines rehabilitation facility. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their mobility and overall quality of life following orthopedic surgical procedures or injuries. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide personalized care that addresses each patient's unique needs and goals.

Work Environment

The work setting at Serenity Motion Therapy is an onsite rehabilitation facility that features state-of-the-art equipment and resources designed to enhance patient recovery. The physical therapist will work closely with a small team, including two other physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), to collaboratively develop and implement effective treatment plans. Our focus on teamwork and patient-centered care fosters an atmosphere that values open communication and shared goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly assess patients' individual needs and set achievable rehabilitation goals in collaboration with patients and their families.
• Manage a caseload averaging one patient per hour, providing focused and high-quality treatment for optimal recovery.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, treatment techniques, and patient education to enhance mobility and functional independence.
• Design individualized exercise and wellness programs, ensuring they align with each patient's specific health status, lifestyle, and recovery objectives.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to relieve pain and improve range of motion, integrating these methods into treatment plans where appropriate.
• Analyze movement patterns and provide corrective feedback to motivate and guide patients through their recovery process.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment protocols and adjust plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Encourage a healthy lifestyle among patients by promoting strength and conditioning exercises that improve balance and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, traumatic injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise as an orthopedic physical therapist will be instrumental in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, providing support, encouragement, and modifying interventions as necessary based on individual assessments. We prioritize a compassionate approach, ensuring our patients feel valued and understood throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy (MPT), with a thorough understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist, with a clean professional record.
• Strong proficiency in evidence-based manual therapy techniques, with a demonstrated ability to customize exercise protocols for diverse patient needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to foster positive relationships with patients and healthcare colleagues.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ideally with experience using WebPT for streamlined documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with demonstrated success in treating a diverse patient population.
• Expertise in alternative therapies that reduce reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
• Familiarity with latest trends and technologies in physical therapy, particularly tailored to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of USD 90,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
