The South Spring Behavioral Health Center is seeking an experienced and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. You will have access to advanced electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to support your clinical documentation and case management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and document case histories from initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.
\n
• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify issues and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
\n
• Create individualized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to help clients explore their issues, develop coping strategies, and achieve treatment goals.
\n
• Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
\n
• Manage referrals for additional services and follow up with healthcare providers regarding clients admitted for inpatient care.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, thereby fostering a holistic approach to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a varied patient population, including individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups. Your focus will be on supporting those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and various emotional and behavioral disorders. With a goal of ensuring accessibility and tailored interventions, you will address the unique needs and circumstances of each client while fostering an environment that promotes healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling role, showcasing a strong clinical background.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of common physical and emotional health issues, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills marked by empathy and a commitment to supporting clients' journeys.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing therapy to clients experiencing substance abuse issues.
\n
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care.

• Background in collaborating with medical professionals to coordinate care for clients with complex needs.

Compensation and Benefits\n
