Work Environment

The position is anchored in our Morristown office where the treatment setting is outpatient, allowing for a diverse patient caseload. You will work alongside a small team, including two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering an environment of collaboration and support. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to establish patient objectives and needs, devising tailored treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Manage an efficient caseload of one patient per hour while delivering high-quality, individualized care.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques and modalities to effectively promote patient recovery.
• Minimize reliance on medications and surgical interventions by employing alternative therapeutic solutions.
• Monitor and assess patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Thoroughly document patient care, treatment interventions, and progress to maintain accurate records and facilitate effective communication.
• Engage patients through motivational interviewing techniques, ensuring they are committed to their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, ensuring all aspects of the patient's health are addressed.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and overall physical health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily caters to patients with orthopedic conditions requiring outpatient rehabilitation services. The majority of our clients are covered by private medical insurance, allowing them to access advanced therapy options promptly. Through our thorough initial assessments, we identify the unique needs of each patient, ensuring that our interventions are specifically designed to enhance their physical abilities and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is essential.
• A clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures in your history.
• Proven experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is a strong asset.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing exercise regimens tailored to patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, is beneficial for efficient documentation and record keeping.

Preferred Experience

• Previous exposure to a high-volume outpatient practice is advantageous.
• Skilled in a range of therapeutic modalities and interventions to address diverse patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
