Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, enabling you to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a vibrant connection with your colleagues through virtual meetings and ongoing communication. Although the position is largely remote, you will have access to our outpatient office facilities in Simi Valley, California, for in-person engagements when necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand and diagnose mental health conditions, developing tailored treatment plans for clients dealing with challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction, domestic violence, and other behavioral health issues.

• Implement short-term counseling interventions using diverse therapeutic modalities, adapting approaches based on client needs and progress.
\n
• Deliver crisis intervention services, including assessment, de-escalation, and collaboration with the public mental health crisis response team when necessary.

• Provide case management services, maintaining communication with clients to ensure consistent support throughout their treatment journey.
\n
• Foster collaboration among multidisciplinary team members, participating actively in treatment team meetings and contributing to coordinated care efforts.

• Utilize telehealth tools and electronic health records to track client progress and ensure that documentation meets all regulatory and company standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will engage primarily with adult clients who present a diverse array of mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of the complexities associated with mental illness and be adept at working within a therapeutic alliance to empower clients towards recovery. This role emphasizes cultural competency to ensure effective communication and understanding of various backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science or a related field, with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience.

• Current licensure from the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

Compensation and Benefits\n
