Work Environment

This full-time position entails working onsite at our rehabilitation center, where you will be part of a close-knit team consisting of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. Our facility caters primarily to orthopedic outpatients who are typically covered by private medical insurance, allowing you to focus on delivering personalized care to our patient population. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Lakeportside, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' functional limitations and setting clear rehabilitation objectives.
• Efficiently managing a workload of one patient per hour while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Creating individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based approaches and innovative therapy techniques.
• Administering a variety of therapeutic interventions aimed at optimizing patient mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Utilizing modalities and therapeutic exercises to promote recovery and minimize reliance on medications or potential surgical interventions.
• Regularly assessing and documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Motivating and educating patients on wellness strategies to enhance their long-term health and physical fitness.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of all care provided to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily serving patients recovering from orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The client focus on providing compassionate, individualized care means you will engage with diverse patient backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet each client's unique challenges and recovery goals.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active certification and licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record without any disciplinary actions taken against your license.
• Demonstrated expertise with manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT or similar software.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will be considered advantageous:

• Prior experience within an orthopedic outpatient clinic.
• Familiarity with various exercise regimen design and implementation, particularly for rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of current trends and research in physical therapy and rehabilitation practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, inclusive of full benefits.
