Work Environment

This position is located in Orlando, Florida, where you will conduct home visits to provide therapy services tailored to each patient's environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the needs of patients dealing with orthopedic conditions and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions aimed at improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to discuss patient progress, make modifications to treatment plans as necessary, and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress, adhering to all legal and professional standards.
• Lead therapeutic exercises, educate patients and families about home-based care strategies, and provide resources for ongoing support.
• Oversee and mentor junior staff and support personnel, ensuring quality service delivery within the home care framework.
• Engage in community outreach activities to promote the clinic's services and advocate for health education.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training to stay current with best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards, maintaining good standing with the state licensing board.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or recovering from sports injuries. A compassionate approach to care that respects each patient's cultural background and personal circumstances is essential. Your role will crucially impact their recovery journey, helping them regain mobility and independence while enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and teammates.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and documentation software for patient management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to balance variable scheduling in a home care setting.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is preferred.
• Experience in a home care setting would be advantageous.
• Prior exposure to interdisciplinary team collaboration in patient care is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
