This position is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation center in Front Royal, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, emphasizing pain relief, functional mobility, and restoration of strength.
• Conduct thorough assessments of each patient's physical condition, utilizing diagnostic techniques to evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that prescribed treatment plans are followed effectively and to continue the high standard of patient care.
• Administer a wide range of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, traction, and modality application to facilitate patient recovery.
• Evaluate the home environment and recommend modifications that enhance the patient's independence and promote effective rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress meticulously in clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure continuity of care and compliance with established guidelines.
• Actively participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to deliver comprehensive treatment plans and review patient progress collaboratively.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy protocols, equipment usage, and techniques to optimize home exercise programs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in physical therapy and integrate innovative strategies into patient care.
• Prepare and submit accurate clinical and administrative documentation promptly, adhering to organizational policies and regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Your expertise will be critical in helping patients navigate their recovery journey, enhancing their physical function while fostering self-efficacy and independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A valid and current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Virginia.
• At least one year of professional experience as a physical therapist in either an acute care or home health setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety in all situations.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance are necessary for potential travel to patient homes in the local area.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to clinical excellence and high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in specialized orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and modalities.
• Background in electronic health record (EHR) systems for improved patient management and documentation.
• Additional certifications in orthopedic physical therapy are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
