Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status during initial consultations, identifying key areas of concern to inform treatment planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at River Valley Counseling Services, you will work with a broad spectrum of clients facing various challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders. Your role will be crucial in not only addressing these conditions but also in recognizing the social, cultural, and economic factors that influence mental health. You will be expected to create a safe and welcoming space for patients to express their concerns and work collaboratively towards positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• At least four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of various mental health disorders.

• Proven crisis intervention skills with the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
