Business Applications Developer

Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Applications Developer to design, build, and maintain automated business solutions and business intelligence systems using the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem. This role focuses on developing workflows, dashboards, integrations, and internal applications that improve operational efficiency, automate business processes, and provide actionable insights across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong technical development skills with business process understanding and enjoys building scalable, user-friendly solutions that create measurable operational impact.

Responsibilities

• Power BI & Business Intelligence
  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
  • Build and maintain scalable data models using DAX and Power Query
  • Translate business data into actionable insights for operational and leadership teams
  • Optimize dashboard performance, usability, and reporting accuracy
• Power Platform Development
  • Build and maintain Power Automate workflows to streamline and automate operational processes
  • Develop Power Apps solutions tailored to business workflows and internal systems
  • Create complex automation flows, approval systems, and custom connectors
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with operational goals
• Azure & Systems Integration
  • Develop Azure-based integrations using Azure Functions, APIs, webhooks, and custom services
  • Integrate Microsoft 365 applications with third-party systems using REST APIs
  • Build secure and reliable automation pipelines between platforms and business tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration or workflow issues efficiently
• Microsoft Teams & AI Solutions
  • Develop Microsoft Teams applications, integrations, bots, and adaptive cards
  • Work with Copilot Studio to build AI-powered agents and automation experiences
  • Support collaboration and communication workflows through Microsoft ecosystem enhancements
• Security, Governance & Optimization
  • Ensure applications follow Microsoft security best practices and data governance standards
  • Maintain system reliability, application performance, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor workflows and optimize automation performance over time
  • Support compliance and access control requirements across solutions
• Collaboration & Documentation
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define solutions
  • Translate operational needs into scalable technical implementations
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and workflow diagrams
  • Provide user training and support where necessary

• Strong analytical thinker who enjoys solving operational problems through automation
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
• Strong communicator capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on scalability, usability, and efficiency
• Passionate about automation, business intelligence, and modern Microsoft technologies

Requirements

• 2–4 years of development experience with Microsoft technologies
• Strong proficiency in Power BI including DAX, data modeling, and visualization best practices
• Advanced experience with Power Automate including complex flows and custom connectors
• Hands-on experience with Azure services and Azure Functions
• Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills
• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and SharePoint development
• Familiarity with business intelligence and data analysis concepts

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience building enterprise automation solutions at scale
• Familiarity with Copilot Studio and AI-powered workflow automation
• Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint Lists, and Microsoft Graph API
• Knowledge of governance, compliance, and security within Microsoft environments
• Experience supporting operational, finance, HR, or sales workflows through automation

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

• Design and optimize Power BI dashboards for operational and executive reporting
• Build and troubleshoot Power Automate workflows and integrations
• Develop internal applications using Power Apps and Microsoft technologies
• Connect systems using APIs, Azure Functions, and automation tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and improve workflows
• Maintain documentation, optimize performance, and support ongoing enhancements
