Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents, identifying key areas for intervention.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that consider each patient's developmental stage, family dynamics, and unique mental health challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and family systems therapy, to effectively address issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at fostering communication and understanding, thus helping caregivers build nurturing environments.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each patient’s treatment, enhancing overall care outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention strategies and support to address urgent mental health issues presented by patients and their families.

• Engage in educational outreach to empower families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records within our electronic health record (EHR) system, in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and case discussions to remain up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and complex behavioral issues. By providing tailored therapeutic strategies, you will help young patients navigate their mental wellness journeys, effectively contributing to their overall emotional and psychological development.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, with a focus on child and adolescent populations.

• Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy is highly desirable.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications is needed for effective documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this full-time licensed mental health counselor position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and contributions to our team.
