Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the individual needs and goals of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Craft customized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based modalities tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.

• Provide individual counseling utilizing motivational interviewing techniques and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to facilitate recovery.

• Facilitate engaging and supportive group therapy sessions that encourage camaraderie among patients while addressing recovery topics.

• Work closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other health professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and immediate care.

• Deliver education and resources to patients and families regarding addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community supports.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively engage in team meetings and professional development activities to remain updated on advancements in treatment.

• Contribute to the continued evolution of our treatment programs through feedback and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults grappling with substance use disorders, providing support to those in various stages of recovery. This includes individuals who are newly entering treatment, as well as those who have encountered setbacks and require encouragement and motivation to continue their recovery journey. Your empathetic approach will foster trust and open communication, essential components in helping patients navigate their challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current, valid licensure as either an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery principles, and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy, particularly within the context of addiction treatment.

• Exemplary interpersonal and communication abilities, complemented by a non-judgmental and compassionate demeanor.

• Capacity to uphold professional boundaries, adhere to ethical guidelines, and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and the ability to effectively utilize technology in clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of related experience is required, candidates with additional experience in substance use disorder treatment and group facilitation will be preferred. Familiarity with alternative treatment methodologies will also be considered a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges between $80,000 to $100,000 annually based on experience and licensing credentials, complemented by performance-based bonuses. A lucrative sign-on bonus is also available for qualified candidates.
