Regular work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of some schedule adjustments to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to individual patient backgrounds, utilizing culturally-sensitive approaches to develop effective treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual, family, and group settings, ensuring therapies are adapted to resonate with patients' cultural experiences.

• Facilitate crisis interventions and provide immediate support during mental health emergencies, leveraging strong situational judgment to help patients navigate distress.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to create a multidisciplinary framework for holistic care strategies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources, fostering awareness and empowerment in their treatment journey.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment methods in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your practice will focus on serving a diverse spectrum of clients in the McAllen area, with a particular emphasis on ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities. By employing a compassionate approach, you’ll be instrumental in bridging gaps in access to mental health services and ensuring that every patient feels seen, heard, and valued.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and a proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods three integrated with cultural responsiveness.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills with the capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Experience utilizing electronic health records and other relevant technologies in managing patient care.
\n
• A dedication to ethical responsibility, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in therapeutic interactions.

Preferred Experience\n
