Work Environment\n

This position is remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while you engage with students and their families virtually. Holistic Counseling & Wellness Center fosters a supportive environment prioritizing employee wellness, which we believe is essential for effectively assisting our clients. The work schedule offers flexibility with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week and opportunities for shifts in 4x10 or 5x8 arrangements, during our operating hours of 8 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide high-quality psychotherapy and counseling to students, using evidence-based practices tailored to their individual needs.

• Conduct comprehensive interviews with clients to gather and assess social, personal, environmental, and health-related information.
\n
• Evaluate and treat clients presenting psychological and behavioral issues, ensuring that interventions are within the scope of practice.
\n
• Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and other community members to develop targeted programs that address students' social and emotional needs.
\n
• Facilitate crisis interventions while maintaining a stable, supportive environment for students undergoing short-term crises.
\n
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients grounded in respect, acceptance, and confidentiality.
\n
• Assess the effectiveness of treatment services and modify approaches based on student feedback and observable outcomes.
\n
• Document all findings and treatment plans in accordance with established protocols to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
\n
• Manage an assigned caseload effectively, keeping documentation current and reflective of therapeutic services rendered.
\n
• May undertake additional duties as required to enhance the overall effectiveness of the wellness center.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves the student population within local schools, focusing on a diverse range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and family-related challenges. Your role will involve understanding the unique social and cultural contexts of students to provide culturally competent and inclusive care.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Current LCSW licensure in the state of Virginia.

• Strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to mental health practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of four years of direct counseling experience, specifically addressing behavioral mental health issues.

• Proven experience providing support for depression, anxiety, family dynamics, and crisis management within an educational or similar environment.

• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques and assessment tools commonly used in school-based mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $104,000, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition, eligible employees will receive a sign-on bonus as an incentive to join our exceptional team.
