Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center in Miami, where we create a supportive atmosphere for both our staff and patients. Our facility boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a welcoming environment designed to optimize patient recovery processes. You will be working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured work routine that allows you to focus on delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic issues, formulating individualized treatment plans tailored to their functional limitations and specific needs.
• Ensure adherence to all pertinent state practice acts, keeping in compliance with regulations surrounding physical therapy practice.
• Perform detailed assessments and document findings accurately, establishing baselines and ongoing treatment goals for each patient.
• Implement treatment protocols based on the latest evidence, ensuring that you adjust plans as needed based on patient progress.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to address any changes in patients' conditions, ensuring timely interventions when necessary.
• Manage discharge planning effectively, providing patients with clear instructions for continued care to maintain their progress after leaving the facility.
• Stay updated on industry practices through participation in relevant training, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate billing records and patient documentation, including evaluation notes and discharge summaries, to ensure continuity and clarity of care.
• Oversee daily patient treatments, ensuring a focus on quality care while maximizing departmental productivity.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate them on treatment plans, fostering trust and cooperation throughout the therapy process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, which can encompass recovery from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting mobility. You will work closely with a diverse client base, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to seniors improving their strength and balance. Your role will be critical in facilitating their health journeys, ultimately helping them achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably with a focus on orthopedic conditions.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and rapport-building with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or with innovative treatment methods will be highly regarded. Familiarity with computerized documentation systems and patient management software can enhance efficiency in tracking patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits
