Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy treatment focused on alleviating pain, enhancing flexibility, and rebuilding strength, in accordance with individualized plans of care.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants in the implementation of treatment plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic assessments that gauge muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Assess the effectiveness of home environments for rehabilitation and provide recommendations to facilitate greater independence for clients.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, exercise programs, and modalities such as traction and therapeutic massage tailored to individual patient needs.
• Fit, evaluate, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, while advising physicians on necessary modifications.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with agency policies.
• Engage actively as a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing insights during case conferences to optimize total treatment approaches.
• Educate clients and their families about their physical therapy regimen, promoting understanding and engagement in the rehabilitation process.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, especially Web PT, for efficient documentation and patient management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will work primarily with diverse outpatient populations, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Hold an active and pristine Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and a profound understanding of exercise prescription.
• Adept in utilizing EMR software effectively for efficient patient documentation.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary physical therapy practices rooted in the latest research and clinical guidelines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient therapy settings is highly regarded but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in rehabilitation programs for various client demographics, including older adults and athletes.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary collaboration is an asset.
