In this full-time role, you will provide critical mental health services to clients through telehealth. This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to $100,000 per year, with additional opportunities for a sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments, documenting client histories from initial consultations to the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs through structured interviews and observational techniques.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans for diverse cases encompassing individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate effective therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques tailored to various therapeutic goals.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to meet established goals.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, and other mental health professionals to optimize care plans.

• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and other care providers involved in clients' hospitalizations or ongoing treatment.
\n
• Proactively identify barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support family members and caregivers in fostering positive environments conducive to mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or psychologist in the state of New York is essential.
\n
• A pass score in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is necessary to ensure competency.

• Previous clinical experience as a mental health counselor to effectively engage and manage a diverse clientele.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly with platforms such as AVATAR, to ensure accurate client documentation.

• In-depth understanding of both emotional and physical health conditions, along with experience treating clients with substance use issues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
