Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, enabling you to deliver counseling and support services from the comfort of your home. You will engage in telehealth sessions, ensuring flexible scheduling while maintaining high standards of service delivery. The role requires effective use of technology platforms for virtual consultations, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver direct services through behavioral health assessments, individual counseling, and comprehensive case management specifically tailored for Black birthing families.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary prenatal care team, including medical providers, midwives, and doulas, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
\n
• Conduct and co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups alongside birth workers, fostering community and support among participants.
\n
• Maintain accurate client documentation and progress notes in accordance with organizational standards and privacy regulations.
\n
• Participate in ongoing training and supervision to stay updated with best practices in mental health care, particularly in the context of maternal health.
\n
• Engage in regular consultation with peers to assess cases and refine therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing tailored mental health services to Black birthing families, addressing their unique emotional and psychological needs during pregnancy and postpartum periods. This role is crucial in promoting maternal mental health, reducing disparities, and enhancing overall family well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Must hold active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with perinatal populations and understanding the associated challenges and stigmas.

• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Prior experience in community health settings or programs focused on maternal health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, depending on your caseload and experience.
