Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological states, identifying key areas for support and intervention.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating their goals and individual needs into evidence-based therapeutic practices.

• Provide compassionate therapeutic counseling using techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, adapted to each client’s unique situation.

• Foster strong therapeutic relationships by establishing trust and rapport with clients in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

• Guide clients in identifying harmful behaviors and thought patterns, using therapeutic interventions to facilitate positive change and personal growth.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers—to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments, adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance skills and stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health counseling.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies to improve the quality of client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will work with a diverse client population, including adults, youths, and families, each presenting with a range of mental health issues. This position allows for the flexibility to serve varied demographics, adapting counseling methodologies to meet distinct needs, from coping with anxiety and depression to managing trauma and grief.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid state license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW is essential to practice in this role.

• Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in providing therapy and counseling to individuals facing mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience\n
