Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that consider the complexities and nuances of mental health in older adults.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including both individual and family therapy, to effectively address a myriad of geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to elderly patients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring swift and compassionate care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, addressing various mental health concerns that are particularly prevalent among elderly individuals. This includes conditions such as major depressive disorder, anxiety, cognitive impairments, adjustment disorders, and the psychological ramifications of chronic health issues typical in aging seniors. By providing specialized care, you will directly contribute to improving the emotional and psychological well-being of your clients, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Demonstrated proficiency in working with elderly clients, backed by a strong understanding of geriatric mental health disorders.
