Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote working setting, allowing mental health counselors to engage with clients through teletherapy while maintaining a work-life balance. Although primarily remote, our collaborative culture emphasizes regular communication through virtual team meetings, consultations, and training. The role offers some flexibility in scheduling, with standard hours being Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with adjustments based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist will be responsible for a wide range of therapeutic activities and duties, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to gather all pertinent information necessary to determine each client's needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to assist individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitating psychoeducational and support groups that foster community and address prevalent mental health concerns, promoting resilience and coping strategies among participants.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other care team members to provide coordinated and integrative care for patients, ensuring all aspects of mental health are addressed.

• Providing crisis intervention and support services during mental health emergencies, ensuring clients have immediate access to necessary resources when they need it most.

• Educating patients about their mental health conditions, discussing treatment options, and navigating available community resources to support their recovery journey.

• Maintaining detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all client interactions.

• Actively participating in case consultations and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with adults and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and substance use challenges. Our clinic prioritizes culturally competent care and inclusivity, allowing therapists to work closely with diverse populations from various backgrounds, ensuring that therapeutic approaches meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure, such as LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT, in the state of New York.

Preferred Experience\n

Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and practices is also preferred, as this role requires proficiency in providing remote counseling services.
