We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services in Fredericksburg, Virginia. With a focus on orthopedic outpatient care, we operate from a modern 5000 square-foot facility designed for sports medicine and rehabilitation. Our skilled team includes two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), ensuring comprehensive patient care and collaboration in treatment approaches. We proudly serve a diverse clientele, primarily covered by private medical insurance, enabling us to focus on delivering exemplary care without restrictions.

Work Environment

This onsite position will primarily take place in our advanced home care setting, allowing you to engage with patients in their own environments as part of their rehabilitation process, maximizing convenience and comfort. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life structure while accommodating our patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize and effectively address the goals and needs of individual patients.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, ensuring an individualized approach with one patient treated per hour.
• Create and implement cost-effective treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility and overall physical function.
• Minimize reliance on pain medications by exploring and offering evidence-based non-surgical interventions.
• Utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient's condition.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, helping them improve their strength, flexibility, and overall health.
• Document all care delivered, including evaluation findings, treatment progress, and patient responses in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, promoting holistic well-being.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including post-operative recovery and injury rehabilitation. Our patient population ranges from active athletes to everyday individuals, creating a diverse and rewarding practice environment. Your role will directly influence their ability to return to daily activities, sports, or work, addressing their unique personal goals and challenges.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Understanding of electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to efficiently manage patient information and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly valued.
• Experience in developing and executing tailored exercise programs for diverse patient needs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster trusting relationships with patients and team members.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
