Key Responsibilities

• Assess and Plan: Evaluating patients referred by physicians, you will formulate tailored treatment plans that address specific needs and conditions.
• Treatment Implementation: You will apply manual therapy techniques, exercise regimens, and modalities to promote healing and improve function.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Engage with colleagues from various specialties to optimize the care delivered to patients, contributing to team meetings and case discussions.
• Education and Training: Provide guidance and education to patients and caregivers about their conditions and the treatment processes, empowering them with the knowledge to engage actively in their recovery.
• Client-Centric Service: Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service to enhance the patient experience and strengthen patient-therapist relationships.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine clients. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• State licensure in Virginia as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general computer proficiency.
• Ability to establish rapport and motivate patients to achieve and exceed their functional goals.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is highly desirable.
• Two years of relevant clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience working with varied patient populations, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation.
