Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist at Gentle Motion Physical Therapy, you will work onsite in our dedicated rehabilitation facility. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, conducting detailed assessments based on medical history and physical performance to formulate individualized treatment plans.

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, sharing evaluation findings and actively including them in goal setting to enhance their engagement in the rehabilitation process.

• Implement personalized treatment protocols based on clinical findings, continually adapting approaches as needed in response to patient progress and emerging healthcare trends.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consulting with other healthcare professionals when indicated, and documenting any significant changes in patient conditions that necessitate adjustments to care plans.

• Prepare patients for discharge by developing follow-up care plans, ensuring that documentations such as initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries are completed accurately and promptly.

• Maintain effective time management while meeting productivity expectations, including punctuality for scheduled meetings and patient appointments.

• Contribute to the attainment of departmental goals, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maintaining a culture of accountability.

• Deliver outstanding customer service, fostering an approachable environment that encourages patient feedback and accessibility to care.

• Engage actively in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote health and wellness awareness in our local area.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. Your approach will focus on personalized care, addressing each patient's unique needs and facilitating their recovery journey through targeted rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current license to practice physical therapy in Virginia, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a physical therapy setting, with demonstrated competency in outpatient rehabilitation practices.

• Experience in collaborative care environments and working alongside interdisciplinary teams is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
