Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver in-home therapy sessions remotely via telehealth or conduct group therapy sessions in virtual settings, focusing on developing personalized treatment plans that align with each client's needs.

• Utilize techniques for anger management, coping strategies, and social skills training to assist youth in reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Engage actively with caregivers to enhance their decision-making skills for better management of behavioral challenges within the home environment.

• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to create cohesive support strategies for the youth and their families.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation adhering to our agency's guidelines, ensuring timely submission of intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes to fulfill administrative requirements.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities, including attending monthly team meetings to share insights and recommendations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who present with varying degrees of developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our therapists play a vital role in providing tailored interventions that enhance emotional and behavioral functioning, fostering resilience and promoting healthier family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Possession of a valid and active LMFT license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 flexible hours per week, preferably during evening hours when clients are typically available.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary to accommodate potential outreach needs and drive to the office when required.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is a prerequisite for employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and implementing therapeutic strategies that adapt to the individual needs of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
