Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth, providing a mix of in-person and remote support tailored to client needs.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, to address the diverse mental health concerns of your clients.

• Staying updated on current research and advancements in mental health treatment methodologies and integrating this knowledge into your practice.

• Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to ethical practices and standards outlined by state regulations and professional licenses.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, nurses, and social workers to provide holistic and coordinated care for clients.

• Engaging in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to continuously enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge.

• Documenting client interactions meticulously, including treatment plans, progress notes, and psychological assessments to ensure accurate and comprehensive client records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on assisting cancer patients—ranging from individuals newly diagnosed with cancer to those managing recurring symptoms and navigating end-of-life concerns. You will also offer support to caregivers, recognizing their critical role in the healing process. The counselor's role is vital in providing emotional support, offering coping strategies, and fostering resilience within the patient and their support network during challenging times.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.

• A valid state-issued mental health licensure (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) that complies with Washington state regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective interactions with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working specifically with oncology patients or within cancer care settings is highly preferred.
