Posting Summary The Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University invites applications for the Lecturer (formerly Part‑Time Lecturer) position in the Department of Educational Theory, Policy & Administration for the Spring 2026 Semester, February 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026. Successful applicants will instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education, and/or educational leadership. Course topics may include history of education, philosophy of education, gender in education, race, ethnicity and inequality, urban education, sociology of education, public school finance, policy analysis, school leadership, and queer issues in schools, among others. Course appointments are in New Brunswick and may be offered in hybrid or online formats. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the specified areas. Prepare syllabi and deliver course materials. Respond to student emails and provide timely grading and feedback. Attend orientation meetings and comply with department policies. Qualifications Master’s degree required; Doctorate preferred. Current or prior experience in P‑12 educational settings preferred. Experience teaching in higher education, online education, or adult learners is a plus. Salary Minimum $2,777 per credit.
